Mini-Course Proposal Deadline

Mini-Course Proposals for Spring and Summer ’24 are NOW OPEN!! Please submit any course proposals by 5pm on Friday, October 27th.

What’s a mini-Course?

These intensive, one-to-three-week, interdisciplinary courses are taught by faculty, postdocs, and students and allow participants to enhance their education without requiring a full quarter’s commitment. Mini-courses address topics of high visibility and interest to the Biosciences community and utilize innovative approaches to learning, teaching, and research. In particular, mini-courses provide opportunities to develop a broad range of scientific and professional skills, to engage in rigorous and responsible research, to promote representation & belonging, and to enhance career preparation.

Students and postdocs can gain valuable experience in proposing and teaching their own courses with support from faculty mentors. Limited funds are available to support the courses and provide teaching stipends for student and postdoc involvement.
